In the morning, 11 August, 2020, Bartolo Cantillo Romero was walking down the Los Maceos Street and Esquina Pinto. Suddenly, he was detained by several officials wearning civil clothes, beaten and put by force to the patrol car no. 603. Then he was driven to the police unit called Dico located in the Northern part of the city. There were already waiting State Security officials, Lionis and Víctor Víctor, who threatened him and along with one more unidentified official issued him an official warning for allegedly being responsible for several posters which had appeared on the strategic places in the city of Guantánamo. Moreover, official Lionis told Bartolo in a threatening way: " You have a little time left, you are almost in the prison, so behave well".
