On July 8, 2018, Rubén Claro Rabelo was detained while he was walking along 8 North and 5 West streets in the city of Guantánamo by State Security officers (DSE) known as Captain Kevin or Jefferson and Víctor. Rubén was taken to the detention center called Operaciones of the Department of State Security and was imprisoned for four hours.
