Activist detained by the State Security when trying to attend Mass

Yoendris was planning to attend the Sunday Mass in the Santa Catalina de Ricci Church. When he left a house of his friends Celina and Bartolo, also human rights activists, he was detained by State Security official known as Edwin Jefferson or Kevin accompanied by three of his colleagues. He was driven to the police station in Manuel Tames, where he was told that he will be put in jail for going to the church with Bartolo and Celina. Eventually, he was released at 8 am the next day without any further consequences.
