About 8:30 a.m, Israel, UNPACU activist, was heading to the church when he was arbitrarily detained by two officers of the National Revolutionary Police that neither showed their identifications nor presented arrest warrant emitted by the court. They asked for Israel's ID and transferred him to the car no. 997 that is used mostly for transportation of soldiers. The car was conducted by officer known as Denis. He was handcuffed and beaten to which he did not show any resistance and he just demanded his civil and political rights. He was there until 10:15 a.m., when they went to outskirts of the city where anyone passes. Taking him out from the car, they beat him heavily with motorcycle chain, with their boots that had metal tips of shoes and with other things. Israel received the majority of the blows on the head, as the agents knew about Israel's malignant tumor in the head. He also lost his watch that was ripped off by the agents.
At the hospital, they refused to give him the certificate about his injuries, when he told them that he was hit by the police.
