Police Major Detains an Activist Arbitrarily



Ivan was in the vicinity of the state office around 5p.m. with various neighbors of the place who were nosing around, then Major Rojas drove with a citizen that according to him, was welding truck horses illegally, although they have a license for this activity. In the place the major was set on the people agglomerated there, saw Ivan and called him saying that he also needed to enter the office. Ivan declined to say why he had to enter and attacked against him. After he punched the official Ivan started to shout anti-government mottos and immediately other soldiers who were present there, drove him to the police station, where he remains since the day of the alleged attack. According to his mother source of this denunciation with 48 hours of detention they imposed a fine of 500 pesos of the national currency. He has been on a hunger strike since his arrest. His sister Ester Idania Rubio Fabre was also detained on this fact for defending her brother.
