Activist from Colón detained when participating in an event carried out by San Isidro Movement

On Sunday, 22 November 2020, a human rights activist Caridad María Burunate Gómez was participating in an event organized by San Isidro Movement in the main park in the municipality of Colón. Immediately after the event started, a political police officer known as Yuniel appeared on the spot and told Caridad that she was detained. Then he put her in a patrol car where she was accompanied by offical María Carla. During the ride, Caridad was shouting "Freedom for Denis Solis". She was driven to the police station in Colón. Once they arrived, she was left in the lobby on the ground floor for some time. Before the release, the policemen issued her an official warning. Then she was driven back home.
