Yeris Curvelo Aguilera went to accompany his cousin, an activist Yusmel Acosta Aguilera, to the police unit called Parque 24 where he was supposed to be interrogated. When they arrived, they were received by State Security (DSE) official Leonis who told Yeris to enter as well for an interrogation. Inside the police unit, they were joined by two more DSE officilas known as Víctor Víctor and Luis Ángel or Roberto. Leonis told Yeris, that if he kept publishing on social media, he would not be allowed to organize events in the streets, and for each such activity, an approval from DSE would be needed. The official also threatened him with imprisonment. When he mentioned it, Yeris was slapped to his head several times by official Luis Ángel. Then the officials issued him an official warning for an alleged criminal damage and fined him. Yeris was then released.
