Activist and human rights defender, Iván Rubio Fabre, was in the park with other various activists of the UNPACU. They were planning to have breakfast together and have a nice time. When they least expected it, the Major of State Security, Bryan, Captain Sergio and other policemen appeared. The activists were arrested and driven to the detention unit known as Parque 24. There, Iván Rubio was interrogated by the Major of the Security, known as Alallo, and accused of provoking a counterrevolutionary fight and speaking out against the revolution. He was locked in a cell of very bad conditions, filled with excrement, urine, and without water. He was released the same day in the afternoon.
