Man detained and prevented from travelling to Guantánamo Province

Rafael Gutierrez was detained while he was travelling by bus to the Guantánamo Province. Several police officers came and asked the passegers to show their IDs. Rafael's name was automatically separated from the rest as he is not from Guantánamo. They told him that they would have to deport him back to his province as one of the commemorative dates was approaching and he was involved in the work of opposition organizations. According to the officials, they will not allow in Guantánamo any suspicious activity which goes against the ideas of José Martí. They also added that this procedure was an instruction from the State Security. Rafael had to get off the vehicle he was travelling in and he was sent back to his province after four hours of waiting.
