In the morning, 12 June 2020, Diosdel Lores Tissert, an activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), was summoned to the police unit known as Parque 24 in the city of Guantánamo. There, he was received by the State Security official Major Kevin who told him that he had been summoned in order to make a mutual deal about stopping meetings with the UNPACU coordinator in Guantánamo, Bartolo Cantillo. Also, he advised him to stop seeing all the counterrevolutionary elements otherwise he would go to prison. Moreover, the official informed him that he had been summoned in order to be saved from imprisonment as there was a police action taking place in the house of Bartolo at the same time. On the top of that, the 12 June 2020 was declared as a fasting day in order to peacefully draw attention to political prisoners in the country. These summonses are often a tool to prevent activists from participating in civil events like this. If they do not attend the summons, the activist are arrested for disobedience.
