Activist from Guantánamo is in danger of being imprisoned again



A human rights defender from the Eastern Democratic Alliance (ADO), Rolando Mesa Benítez, is facing a threat of being again imprisoned. The judge treating his case urged his him to submit a work contract otherwise he would go to jail again. Mesa Benítez was sentenced to 7 years in jail for the crime of violation of domicile. Currently, he is released on parole with seven remaining months of the charge. Mesa Benítez is 65 years old and is expecting to be sent back to prison as no company will be probably willing to give him a job.
