Eliécer Palma was invited to Spain by the agency Diario de Cuba in order to participate in a training on independent journalism. After having checked his luggage, he approached the migration officials at the airport. The officials on duty informed him that according to the information in the system, he was restricted from traveling. They invited him to follow them to their office where he got back his passport and luggage. He was also advised to contact the Department of Attention to the Citizenship of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) to clarify his traveling status. This time, Eliécer was not allowed to undertake his journey and until now, his status remains restricted and no document of this nature can be processed.
