Activist Yusmary Chacon Lamoth, after distributing humanitarian aid to people affected by the Hurricane Mathew, was arrested and beaten by police and State Security forces (DSE). She was also transferred to the operations unit where she was detained for more than 72 hours and where she was threatened by Captain Sergio and Geidis with going to prison if she continued her activities against the revolution. Furthermore, several buckets of water were thrown at her in the cell and her neck was tightened in order to look for SD cards in her mouth which supposedly contained information that interested the DSE. Her phone and a SD card was stolen.
