On March 1, activist Bartolo Cantillo Romero went to buy bread and on his way back to his home he was detained by security officers, who took him to the Mongomes highway. For more than 2 hours Cantillo was threatened and tortured by locking him in the sun, they broke his bread jar along with what he had bought. They threatened to leave him on the seashore and accused him of illegal exit, and warned him not to leave his house anymore. After two hours in the sun, he was released more than 10 km from Guantanamo and without his purchases.
