The victim was summoned to the National Revolutionary Police Unit (PNR) in the Figueredo Street in Bayamo where she was received by a secret police official known as Maykol. He told her that her son was imprisoned and he could end up very badly if she did not collaborate with them and did not follow their instructions. According to the official, her son might be released on parole and he suggested her to get closer to several regime opponents in order to learn who was distributing antigovernment posters in Bayamo. The official was also very interested in what is the relationship among her and two independent journalists living in the same house as her. Finally, he told her to avoid them for her and her son's good.
