Fined for publications on his social media

Leiner Cruz Salfran was the person in charge of the call for the peaceful march on November 15, for which he shared publications related to this, made by organizers of the Archipelago group in Havana. Mr. Cruz was summoned to the Territorial Control Office of the Ministry of Telecommunications in Guantánamo to deal with matters related to the publications on his social media profile. He was interrogated by MICON inspector Reiner Speck Planches and Ricardo Lao Estrada, a specialist of that office. They informed him that they considered his publications on social media an attempt against the internal and public order, violating Decree Law 35 as well as Decree Law 370. After showing him said publications and explaining which elements corresponded to the violations, Article 15, clauses E and F, of Decree Law 35 was applied and consequently, Article 68 - clause I - which stipulates a fine of 3000 CUP.
