UNPACU activist from Baracoa was threatened at home by police officers and CDR representatives on Human Rights Day.

On December 10, 2020, the activist of the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU) from Baracoa, Roberto Gonzalez Pelegrín, was threatened and harassed by Lieutenant Juan Mendoza Trutie and CDR president Daniel Campo Sánchez. These two came to the activist's home and threatened him with retaliation if he dared to go out to create public disorder. The activist told the head of the sector and the people who accompanied him that they are violating article # 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, since this article says that all people have the right to freedom of expression and that it includes the right not to be disturbed because of opinions, the right to be able to investigate and receive information and opinions, and disseminate them, without limitation of borders, by any medium. The regime denies the Cuban people the right to dissent.
