Activist detained in Jovellanos



Rubislandy Ávila González was on an omnibus to the city of Matanzas to participate in an activity programmed by his organization. He was arrested when he arrived in Jovellanos by two policemen of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR), political police officers named Ferro and Dario, and three patrol cars of the operational guard. They put him in the patrol car and when he got out, they shoved him, handcuffed him and took his phone. Then they took him to the Jovellanos PNR station, where he stayed several hours.
