At 10 am, Niober García Fournier was detained on the Máximo Gómez and the 3 Sur Street in Guantánamo by a police patrol. He was then driven to the State Security Detention Center (DSE). Later on, the DSE officials along with several policemen searched his house (so called allanamiento). They confiscated a laptop, two cell phones - a personal one and the other one which was found at the house, two USB sticks, a digital photo camera, a removable 1TB disc, several books and handwritten documents. He was released on the same day at about 7 pm.
