Activist detained at the Municipal Procurator's Office in Pinar del Rio

At 8:30 am, when human rights defender Ricardo Fernández Izaguirre was at the Municipal Procurator's Office in Pinar del Rio, denouncing human rights violation committed to a student of Medicine by State Security officials, he was arbitrary detained by Police Chief Lieutenant Colonel Beune and Captain Juan Pérez. He was put in a car and taken to the police unit prosecuting crimes against state security located on the fourth kilometer of the highway to San Juan y Martinez. There, he was intimidated and threatened. He was released at 11:30 am.
