Human rights activist detained on his way to the UNPACU headquarters in Santiago de Cuba



UNPACU activist Rubislandy Ávila González was in a car on his way to the UNPACU headquarters in Santiago de Cuba, when he was detained at the point set up by the political police to prevent opposition from going to other municipalities, church, or the headquarters of the organization. He was taken out of the car and then taken to the National Revolutionary Police station of Julio Antonio Mella, where he was threatened with imprisonment by the agent Dáiron. He was released four hours later.
