A man from Guantánamo detained during a house search at his home



The sector police chief in Guantánamo carried out a house search in the place of Yorkenis Álvarez Jiménez on suspicion of selling products of problematic origin as well as illegal seal of beef meat. However, the official did not find anything illegal and Álvarez Jiménez complained about the house search carried out without any solid proof. Subsequently, the official drove him to the police unit called Parque 24 and accused him of disrespect for the authority. Álvarez Jiménez was kept there for 72 hours. Before his release, he was threatened by the police chief with imprisonment. He was also fined 600 pesos based on the article 8.3.
