Human rights activist from Colón detained in front of his house by secret police and fined



Reynaldo Batista Castellanos was on his way home along with other activist, Nelson Acosta. When they were already about to open the door, they heard that somebody was calling them by their names and then they saw a Suzuki motorcycle. It was a secret police officer Alberto Surí and his colleague Víctor who told them to accompany them. Both activists were put in the patrol car no. 832 and driven to the police station. When arrived, they were taken to an office in the upper floor where other detainees had been already waiting. They confiscated Reynaldo's his bracelet supporting the organization Cuba Decide which he was wearing on his left wrist. Then they fined him 7,50 CUP for not having his ID on him. He was released at 3:40 pm.
