Activist detained and fined when posting a banner in the Cathedral



A political exprisoner Miguel Angel López Herrera, was fined 200 pesos for posting a banner saying "Down with Fidel and Raúl" on the external wall of the Cathedral in José Martí Park in Guntánamo. He was driven to the State Security Headquarters, known as Lily Modas. After that, he was put into a patrol car and taken to the police station where he was kept for about 24 hours in a prison cell. Miguel Angel keeps protesting against labor conditions as he is almost not able to feed and support his family. For that reason, he has been already threatened, beaten and detained many times.
