Martha Licet Sanchez Solis was at the Cocodrilo Callejero Journal Headquarters in Los Arabos. At 11:45 am, two police officers showed up and delivered her an official summons to the police station. At 1 pm, she arrived and was interrogated by State Security official Captain Orlando Figueroa. She threatened her with death and told her that her body could be found by accident somewhere in the street. Moreover, he threatened her with imprisonment for her journalistic activity. Then he started screaming and insulted her. According to Martha Licet, all this happened due to an article which was published to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Cuban regime's shoot-down of two Brothers to the Rescue planes carrying American humanitarians. For that reason, the authorities also prohibited a meeting of Cuban Institute for Freedom of Expression and Press (ICLEP), which should have taken place on February 18.
