Bartolo Cantillo Romero was on his way home after he had gone out to buy some bread. When he was walking down the 3 Sur Street, he was detained, without any explanation, by a State Security official on a Suzuki motorbike known as Luis Ángel. In a moment, a patrol car arrived and Cantillo Romero was driven to the police station. There he was kept in detention in a prison cell for more than 5 hours. During that period nobody came to explain him, what was going on. At 11 am, official Luis Ángel appeared in the cell and released him. Before Cantillo Romero left, the only thing the official told him was: “Don’t be crazy, you might disappear and nobody would save you.”
