On December 6, 2015, Mr. Yoanny Beltrán Gamboa was going to attend Mass in El Cobre. Suddenly, he was attacked by Anti-Riot Police in Camilo Cienfuegos Avenue and San Gregorio Street. They used pepper spray, beat him and put a black plastic bag over his head. He stopped breathing for a while and collapsed. Yoanny was driven to the operation center and beaten again. Yoanny was in a such a bad condition that State Security officials had to take him to the hospital. He stayed there for more than 24 hours.
