While Manuel was detained for three days without food, they searched his house and took his belongings



Independent journalist Manuel Alejandro León Velázquez was detained at the Guantánamo Control Point when he was returning from a training trip from Spain. The journalist was taken to the professional training unit, where he was held for 72 hours without food. Additionally, at the same time of the arrest, another police operation carried out a search at the journalist's home, where they took his laptop, video camera, records, and work documents.
