At 7:20 am, Aloy Betancourt Méndez, accompanied by his two colleagues, was waiting at the boarding point in Jovellanos in order to get to Havana. At that moment, two law enforcement officers and a political police officer known as Dayron approached the group. They were instructed to walk with the officers to the police station. When arrived, they were placed in an office on the second floor.
