A man from Báguanos detained by police for 72 hours

On 10 March 2021, Aldo Pérez Pérez was detained when he was carrying home some bricks which he wanted to use for building a sty for pigs. He was intersected by police and taken to the police unit in the municipality of Banes. At the station, the officers confiscated him 1100 bricks and fined him 3000 pesos in the national currency (CUP). After that, he was kept in detention for 72 hours. During this period, he was interrogated and threatened by State Security official Roilan. Pérez was released on 12 March at 10 am.
