Miguel Ángel López Herrera was summoned to the State Security (DSE) Detention Center, also known as Operations, to meet Major Giorvys Hodelin Lamoth at 9 am. When he arrived, he was received by DSE official known as Víctor along with another unidentified official. Miguel was told that publishing through means of enemies of the revolution and speaking badly about his country is a crime. For that, he could be fined 3000 pesos under the Decree-law no. 370 and his university career in the field of computer engineering could be over. The officials asked him whether the journalist Niober García Fournier, who carried out the interview, obliged him to say what he said. Miguel replied that he only expressed his opinion. They also asked him whether he got paid for the interview which Miguel refused. The official concluded the meeting by saying that Miguel would not publish his declarations in the independent means otherwise he would be fined 3000 pesos and prevented from pursuing his career.
