A man from Guantánamo harassed by police when carrying home some goods for his household

On 12 September, 2020, Daniel Álvarez Muñoz was heading home with a wheelbarrow with vegetables, food and some basic goods for the household. Suddenly, he was stopped by several inspectors and a local sector police chief. They asked him for a freelancer ID, but Álvarez Muñoz explained them that he was not a street vendor and the products he was carrying were just for his family. The sector chief said that he would explain it at the police unit and called patrol car no. 612. They drove him to the police unit Parque 24. There he was fined 500 pesos and received an official warning. He was released five hours later.
