An activist from the Cuban Reflection Movement (MCR), Aurelio Cabrera González, was arrested at about 8 am nearby the market El Convenio located on the Quintín Bander Street in Sancti Spíritus. The operation was led by secret police official Major Navia. The reason was that Aurelio with other activists were throwing fliers in the Park De la Caridad. The fliers were saying: "Miguel Díaz Canel, give up your office". The official put Aurelio by force into the patrol car no. 362 and drove him to the provincial offices of the State Security, generally known as Julio Antonio Mella. There he was kept for two hours and half and then released.
