Yilianet Soto Abreu was summoned on July 14, 2021 to the PNR station, where she was accused of promoting the protests of July 11. After her arrest, she was sent to the criminal investigation in Caibarien. On July 19 of the same year, the Placetas Municipal Prosecutor's Office imposed a precautionary measure of provisional imprisonment and sent her to the Guajamal Penitentiary Center. She was released on August 23, 2021 with an administrative sanction of 2,000 CUP for a crime of low dangerousness.
