Man sent to "La Pendiente" for over a month after being accused of promoting 11J protest

On July 14, 2021, Yunior Jorge Ramos Yera was summoned to the PNR station and was accused of being one of the promoters of the protest of July 11 of the same year. For this reason he was detained and sent to the criminal investigation in Caibarien. On July 19, 2021 the Placetas Municipal Prosecutor's Office imposed a precautionary measure of provisional imprisonment, for which he will be sent to the "La Pendiente" penitentiary center. He was released on August 23, 2021, however he was imposed an administrative sanction of 3000 pesos for crimes of low dangerousness, where the PNR has the power to resolve them without having to go to court.
