Roberto Perdomo Fuentes is a human rights activist from the Eastern Democratic Alliance. On that day, he was detained by a State Security official known as Abel along with several policemen nearby the agricultural market. He was then taken to the police unit in the municipality of Mella, in the Santiago de Cuba Province. The official told him that he could be sentenced to one year in prison in any moment for not paying fines. Roberto was released at about 7:30 pm without any further consequences.
