On December 6, 2015, an activist Felipe Blanco Gonzales was heading to Santigo de Cuba to attend Mass in the Santuario del Cobre. He was detained on Camilo Cienfuegos Avenue and San Gregorio Street by Anti-Riot Police and State Security officials. He was taken to one of the State Security units and later to the Police Department in El Salvador. He was threatened by Security official Kevin who had been already processing his case. Kevin told him he would go to jail due to his counterrevolutionary activity. This event was denounced by Radio Martí.
