UNPACU activist detained while heading to Havana



Jesús Miguel Sequeff Ochoa, a human rights activist and Cuban Patriotic Union representative in Pinar del Río, was on his way to Havana where he was going to attend a protest march organized by the Ladies in White and Todos Marchamos campaign, both conducting activities to demand the release of political prisoners. When he entered the bus terminal, he was detained by State Security official Captain Juan Perez along with secret police. The officials told him he was prohibited from traveling or even visting his family in Havana and if he didn´t follow this order, he would be prosected for disobedience.
