The activist Francisco Rangel Manzano was arrested on the public highway while he was on his way to his sister-in-law's house after learning that he was being watched. He was taken in patrol car No.208 to the police station where a political police officer told him that two women in civilian clothes would be attending him. The women turned out to be two inspectors, one of whom, Yadira Zulueta Diago, claimed that he had damaged the public ornament by painting on an area of a state entity. After a short conversation, the inspector proceeded to fine him $200 CUP (6€) under the Legal Provision 272, Article 17, Paragraph e, and filed a report against him. The activist was released at 3:00 pm of the same day.
