Activist detained at the checkpoint in Cayamo

On February 28, 2016, an activist Luis Bello Gonzáles was going to attend Mass in the Santuario del Cobre in Santiago de Cuba province. The Mass was carried out in order to support Ladies in White and Todos Marchamos campaign which is held to demand the release of political prisoners. At 6 am, Luis was detained at the checkpoint in Cayamo by Lt Col Cantillo, Major Montalvo and National Revolutionary Police. He was put in patrol car and driven do the Police Department in Caimanera. He was kept there until 12 pm and then released.
