The activist Roelvis wanted to attend a Mass and a march that were being conducted to demand the release of political prisoners and to end repression by the regime against civic activists in Cuba. At 6 am, he was detained by police officers and State Security and transferred to the operations unit. There, he was threatened and severly beaten. He was only released at 3 pm that day.
