Activist from Guantánamo detained by State Security and prevented from participating in Mass

Francisco Osoria Claro, a human rights activist and a collaborator of the Ladies in White, was about to attend Mass carried out in the Santa Catalina de Ricci Church. When he was passing through Calixto García and El 3 Sur Streets in Guantánamo, he was stopped by the State Security (DSE) officials known as Kevin or Jefferson and Julio. These officials detained him, according to them due to the wave of anti-government fliers distributed in the city the night before his arrest. After that, Francisco was taken to the DSE detention center. He was released at 6 pm on the same day.
