In Pinar del Río, Yaimel was violently arrested by the State Security officer known as Simón, who beat him and applied a strangulation hold. He was forced to ride inside a green Lada car. Two more officers moved him to the outskirts of the city of Pinar del Río. There he was interrogated by the agents who used verbal violence, sarcasm, and blackmail as tools. They left him abandoned in that same place two hours later.
