In the morning, an activist from the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU) was arrested at 9 am when he was at home sleeping. Officer Alfredo Oliveros of the Department of State Security (DSE), accompanied by sector chief Gianny Clape Rodríguez, went to his home and told the activist that he had to accompany him to the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) unit. The activist responded that if they did not bring an official arrest warrant he would not go anywhere with them, the officer immediately took out a piece of paper from his pocket and said "here it is, you can read it”. The activist was taken to the PNR unit where he remained for more than 6 hours under interrogation by the DSE officer who detained him along with the PNR Captain. This officer threatened the activist that if he did not leave the activist Keyber Rodriguez Fernandez he would be put in prison for a long time. In addition, Officer Oliveros mentioned on several occasions that at no time was he or anyone else going to be allowed to disturb the order in the municipality, that they already had a cell ready for him in the compound, that they were not going to think that he had forgotten everything he had done, that his time was coming, and that he was not going to play with his luck. Also the Captain of the PNR told him that they were aware that he was putting up signs on the walls of the water pump house in the Bermejal neighborhood, that they had already watched the area and that they were going to find those responsible and that they were going to pay dearly for having damaged the paint of the house, and they were also going to pay for having made fun of the figure of the commander.
