Activist Lázara Eumelia Ayllón Reyes was arrested on January 29 and taken to the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) station in Santiago de las Vegas, where officers Walter and Major Alejandro of the Department of State Security confiscated her cell phone and summoned her to the PNR station in Wajay on February 1.
When she attended the summons at the Wajay police station, an inspector from the Cuban Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) fined her $3,000 Cuban pesos (CUP) based on Decree Law 370. The inspector also issued an confiscation report for the phone that had been taken from her the day before by DSE agents.
She was informed that she could complain about the confiscation of the telephone at the Citizen Attention Department of the Ministry of Communications. However, her claim has not been answered.
