Independent journalist was detained at the aiport and diasappeared

On 29 January 2020, the head of the Palenque Vision Project, Rolando Rodríguez Lobaina, was prohibited from travelling to the USA from the José Martí Airport in Havana. When Rolando showed his passport and was about to receive a boarding pass, he was approached by two secret police officials. They drove him to an office and informed him that he could not travel as his status was "regulated". After that, when the journalist was making a phone call in order to inform about his situation, he was detained by the airport police and driven to an unknown place. Until now, Rolando's family was not able to reach him and he was declared missing.
