Human Rights Activist was detained for 3 days so he could not reach his plane to Trinidad and Tobago



On October 27, Niober Garcia Fournier was traveling on the train from Guantanamo to Holguín and then on to Havana. He was arrested by the police (railway police) and transferred to his home-province Guantánamo to the State Security unit known as Operaciones. Niober was released on October 30 after seizing a human rights defender card and his phone. Due to this detention, he could not make the trip to Trinidad and Tobago.
