UNPACU activist arrested for attempting to mobilize inside the island

In the afternoon, an activist from the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU) was detained by National Revolutionary Police (PNR) officer Gianny Clape Rodríguez and State Security Department (DSE) Major Antonio Rodríguez. The state agents detained the activist because he was allegedly trying to leave the municipality for Guantánamo province, and then to go to Santiago de Cuba. The activist was detained and taken to the PNR unit where he remained for almost 24 hours, until he was released, but not before being warned for allegedly not having complied with the DSE's orders not to leave the municipality. In addition, an official act was drawn up against him, which he did not sign.
