Woman detained and driven outside the city

On March 13, 2016, an activist Lianet Gonzáles Vera was going attend Mass to the Santuario del Cobre en Santiago de Cuba province. The Mass was held to demand the release of political prisoners and the end of political repression. She was detained on Camilo Cienfuegos Avenue by State Security officials Cesar and Malvin. She was driven to the State Security and later put to the bus. There were several secret police officials recording the detainees. She was released at 9 am in Cecilia, a municipality located 12 kilometres from Guntánamo. This was denounced on Radio Martí and in the Associated Press.
