Victor Campa Almenares was on his way to a meeting, during which he was to direct, supervise and conduct a video debate. The meeting was scheduled for June 12, since every Thursday the vast majority of activists participate in the classes.
Coming out of his house, agents of the political police detained Victor to prevent the reunion from taking place and thus limit the spreading of information about the work that has been conducted by the UNPACU. Afterwards, he was seated by force in a patrol car and taken to the PNR of Palma Soriano, where he remained for more than 24 hours in a cell, being threatened and blackmailed by the police.
